The following video tutorial will help newbies (techie term for a beginner) to learn how to set up a site in Dreamweaver. This doesn’t mean that we are actually creating a site yet. It means that we are getting Dreamweaver ready connect to an FTP Server. We’ll also be explaining a little about “File Management”. File management is very important for Web Designers because our goal is to have many websites eventually that we manage or create. So we need to be organized in our filing system!
Some things that you will need to have to do the tutorial is:
- an FTP Hostname
- an FTP Folder (sometimes this is blank)
- an FTP Username
- and FTP Password
If you don’t have these yet, visit our post First Step – Purchasing a Webhosting Service
This is a short lesson provided by learntowebdesign.com to teach people that are new to web design how to set up a website in Dreamweaver and its FTP settings. Enjoy
